AWStats - What controls when it runs? Where?

We seem to have high server loads, and when it happens it seems to usually be when AWStats is running. We have disabled Analog stats and Webalizer, but it seems that AWStats runs durring the middle of the day.

Is there any way I can specify AWStats to run at like 2 or 3am?

Also, does anyone know what &Broken Pipe& means in ther error logs?

awstats updates via a crontab and that is setup by your web host. It should be set to run hourly or more if your server/site is getting alot of traffic or else it is a resource hog.
