Hello, i had a cpanel user which has almost 50 addon domain, so i ve convert all addon domains into an a cpanel user. After that all sites has new usernames new databases etc all works good. My question is all web files and mails still in container cpanel user which had 50 account before. I've removed all folders in public_html but i worried about mail folder. Can i delete all mail content also? Is everything has been moved seperatly their each account, i suspect is there any link between this folders? Thank you.

Hello @dortgendizayn,

The email data in the original cPanel account is no longer required as long as you have verified the email data exists in the new accounts after converting the addon domain names.

Thank you.

Okay but old emails still in mail folder of old main account, so there are lots of hidden files and other linked files, and i need to keep a few domain's mail but they are still using old main account.

And why am i seeing, in email disk usage at the cpanel, i couldn't find emaill address (as normally) but they appeared at the email disk usage section of cpanel. (I'm talking about old account btw.)

Just i need to delete duplicated data to get empty space.

thanks.

Hello,

Can you provide a screenshot or an example of the specific data that's left behind and you would like to remove? We can then confirm if this data is required.

Thank you.

Hello @dortgendizayn,

Thank you for sending the requested information.

I converted an addon domain with email accounts to it's own cPanel account on a test system. First, I confirmed the email data associated with the addon domain name on the original account is not removed. This is currently by-design, but I encourage you to open a feature request if you'd like an option to remove the email data from the source account after it's converted over:

Submit A Feature Request

Additionally, I confirmed the old email accounts were still listed under the Email Disk Usage option in cPanel on the original account. This will allow you to remove existing email data for email accounts associated with the addon domain that you no longer require, and will not remove that data from the newly created cPanel account.

Thank you.

Thanks for detailed response, I'll follow feature request but one more question.
I've deleted each folder of domain in the /home/user/mail folder.
So when i tried to open Email Disk Usage page, it couldn't load and getting error
like " We couldn't find blabla.com "

is there a way to sync with mail folders?

btw newly created account is working well and all emails has been moved successfully,
just i want to open an empty space at the old account.

Can you open a support ticket so we can take a closer look at the affected account? You can post the ticket number here so we can update this thread with the outcome.

Thank you.
