Hello Cp Hosts... Help! Maybe someone has seen this before?

I've setup on my network a clean FreeNAS server and setup a WebDAV share under http:8080. Windows 7 PRO (64bit) sees the share, can read, CAN WRITE so there seems not to be any issue with the WebDAV share itself (me thinks).

On Cpanel v94.0.8, under additional destinations, when validating the connection I get this error "http://10.252.0.151:8080/hosting5webdav/" is not DAV enabled or not accessible."

additional note: I'm sure the question of why not https:8081, because windows will not connect to that, I'm guessing because of the default certificate in FreeNAS. I have plans on buying a cert and updating that in FreeNAS (I'll be looking for a tutorial on that later but that is not a cpanel forum question, unless someone knows that answer).

any help welcome, even good guesses lol This does not seem to be a popular question, I have hours searching for an answer before I posted here this question.

Thank you
Barry,

Hey there! Can you get me some more details on the setup here? Is the 10.252.0.151 machine also the cPanel server, or is that the FreeNAS server?
That IP is the FreeNAS server.

However, what I had forgotten to check was the IPs on the server. I added an intranet IP and the situation changed. I had a tech connect and he decided we would go the Sftp route since WebDAV wasn't working, after adding a local IP, the Sftp started working. I may experament with the webDAV later today but not having a local IP was the major cause. I'll report later if I continue to have issues or if that resolved it completely.

Thank you cPREX for coming to my rescue!

I'm glad checking the IP address led you in the right direction!
We ended up with tossing in the towel with webdav, not because we tried very hard but Kevin and I are both more families with sFTP and obviously SSH and FileZilla seemed the better answer to a quick end. However, once we varified sFTP with fileZilla, and got the cPanel backup to use sftp, then we incorporated this utility into my windows 7 Pro 64bit VM to manage the backup collection and view what I had more comfortably, including drag & drop, read and write to a Windows folder.... Project is here: billziss-gh/sshfs-win
