Dear members of the cPanel Forum,
I hope this message finds you well. I am facing a highly frustrating issue with my cPanel and I would like to seek the help and guidance of the community in resolving it.
The problem is as follows: my email forwardings are being deleted repeatedly, and as far as I know, I am the only person with access to the website and cPanel at the moment. This has caused a lot of inconvenience as I rely on email forwardings to redirect important messages.
I would like to inquire if anyone has encountered a similar issue and if they could share their experience and solution. Additionally, I am open to any suggestions or recommendations for diagnosing and resolving this matter.
As I am dealing with sensitive information, the loss of email forwardings is extremely inconvenient and concerning to me. Any assistance you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance for the attention and knowledge shared.

Hey there! Are you saying that data inside cPanel >> Forwarders is being removed so the forwarders no longer exist on the system?

If so, that's something you would have to reach out to your hosting provider about, as those files are stored outside of the local cPanel account and should not be automatically removed. The only thing I can think of is that the host is performing some type of custom work on the server that is removing those.

The host may also be removing them intentionally.

Either way, I think it is time to contact the host for a some answers and/or a resolution.

Thank you for your response and for confirming the issue. Yes, the data inside cPanel >> Forwarders is being removed, resulting in the forwarders no longer existing on the system.

I appreciate your suggestion to reach out to my hosting provider regarding this matter. It's good to know that the forwarders should not be automatically removed and that it could potentially be related to some custom work performed by the host on the server.

I will definitely contact my hosting provider to investigate further and seek their assistance in resolving this issue.

Thank you again for your input and guidance!

One other thing to remember. Example: If you have both an email account configured for [email protected] and and one or more forwarders that forward [email protected] to other addresses. In that case, since [email protected] is an actual email account, Bob can log into his email account via webmail and remove any forwarders that are on his specific account. He can't remove other forwarders, but he can remove [email protected] forwarders. However, if [email protected] only exists as a forwarder (and not also an email account), then this would not be your issue. This also would not be your issue if you forwarders were disappearing for multiple different addresses @somedomain.com.

You'll also want to make sure that nobody else is accessing your cPanel account besides you. If somebody else has access to your cPanel account, they can easily log in and modify forwarders.
