Manual backup command is not triggering addional local backups?

Hi,

I've incremental backups configured in my server for different days and weekly with 1 backup retrain.

Last night i've mounted a USB Drive for additional local backup destionation, configured and validated so far so good.

After that i run manual backup command "/usr/local/cpanel/bin/backup --force" which also worked fine for default local backup but it did not generated backup for Additional Local Drive

Is this a normal behaviour when u run manual backup that i should wait for cron or is something wrong ?

Hey there! I would expect that to run the backup normally, just as it happens from cron.

Do you see anything interesting in /usr/local/cpanel/logs/cpbackup or /usr/local/cpanel/logs/cpbackup_transporter that may indicate an issue?

@cPRex lastnight a weekly backup started as scheduled

"system" backups are transfered to Additional Local Drive (A USB Drive) but "accounts" are not.

I've checked the logs you mentioned. As i see after normal backup for system folder a tar file generated and copied to Usb;

system files uploaded but rest not.

Is it possible that the account backup had been created too recently, so it didn't attempt to redo those?

Its "Additional Backup" whole idea is generating another backup that is recently backed up in another place

Also system backup is generated recently but its working fine.

I've another server using Addional Backup to GDrive, its working perfectly fine.

I'm suspecting incremental backups but not sure.

As i've suspected incremental backups are ths real issue here. Basicly "Additional Backup Local" is not suitable with "Incremental Backups"

WORKAROUND
1. You can use compressed backups
2. If you want to stay "Incremental" use "Rsync Method" but login to your own local server.
