Problem with Alias Domains

Hi,

Sorry for such a newbie question but I've been using Plesk since Noah was a boy and have just added a cpanel host for some other work.

I have a top domain called example.ga and an addon domain called example2.ga. and a third addon called example3.ga. All on the same server.

I am trying to aliase from schools.example.ga across to learn.example3.ga (which is a Joomla site). The redirect sort of works but sends me to example.ga which is a wordpress site that isn't even set up yet.

learn.example3.ga works fine when addressed directly.

I'm sure I must be missing something very simple.

Any help be be most welcome.

Hi Again.

Create a New Alias
To add a domain alias, enter the domain name in the text box and click Add Domain.

To open the alias domain's home directory with the File Manager interface (cPanel >> Home >> Files >> File Manager), click the link that corresponds to that alias under the Domain Root column of the Remove Aliases table.

Why would I need to access the alias route directory please.

I'll try and explain again now that somebody changed to original post and managed to get the domain names confused when they changed them to example.

Hello,

You can't setup aliases that point to a subdomain using the "Aliases" feature in the cPanel UI. You'd need to access Web Host Manager and use the following option to do this:

"WHM Home » DNS Functions » Park a Domain"

Your access level shows that you don't have root access to the server. Can you check with your web hosting provider to see if they can set this up for you?
