what's the error with send mail in joomla 2.5 ?

" SMTP Error! The following recipients failed: username @ gmail.com
SMTP server error: Please turn on SMTP Authentication in your mail client, or login to the 550-IMAP/POP3 server before sending your message. data.domain.vn (domain.com) 550-[103.1.20*.**]:12703 is not permitted to relay through this server without 550 authentication."

how i can fix this error ? please help me
