Hey, I cancel a hosting account and forgot to migrate the DB, but I have a full cpanel backup. Is it possible to recover the data tables for that site somewhere? I have all the files for the wordpress I want to recover, but only missing the most important thing. Thanks in advance for your help!

You can extract the archive and in the archive is a mysql folder which will have SQL dump files of all the databases for that account.

You might want to look in whm phpmyadmin and see if the database is still there. Thing is if it was tied to the cpanel account then it should have gotten backed up when you did the full account backup. If it's not in the backup then MAYBE it wasnt tied to the cpanel account and if so when you terminated it it would have left the database there.

It's a long shot but worth looking.

Hello @guedzzz,

Can you let us know what you see when manually extracting the .tar.gz backup archive that was downloaded from cPanel on the prior hosting provider's server?

Thank you.
